The Chasseur rondeau pan is primarily used to slowly braise or simmer. Made of heavy duty cast iron, it distributes heat evenly, while the matching lid keeps in heat and moisture, making it perfect for tenderizing any cut of meat for stews or heavy cassoulets. It can also be used for paellas and stews. This unfinished piece is easy to clean, durable but should be seasoned prior to its first use. It is compatible with standard stovetops, induction ranges, and conventional ovens. The lid knob is heat-resistant up to 400°F. Note that all dimensions are interior and do not include handles or thickness of material.
